What Are Acoustic Ceilings?

G & G Enterprises Ltd. specializes in acoustic ceilings and will help you with any kind of ceiling tile installation.


There are many types of ceiling tiles including: glue-up, staple-on, and lay-in. Acoustic ceilings are used to lower the height of a room and to reduce the ambient noise level. A metal grid is hung from the room’s true ceiling and panels of sound-absorbing material are then placed into the sections. Acoustic ceilings can also hide heating and cooling ducts, as well as wires and pipes.


Acoustic ceilings are an inexpensive alternative to completely renovating a room. An acoustic ceiling grid and ceiling tiles can be installed in a few hours. While other methods of lowering a ceiling can take days, installation of an acoustic ceiling is a much timelier fix for a problem ceiling.
